Medihelp member app
UI/UX Design
Project overview
The new member application allows you to conduct your most important Medihelp business from the palm of your hand. You can view and update personal information, access your digital membership card, view and share information on your health and search for healthcare providers.
My role
We developed the new member application as a PWA in collaboration with all previous stakeholders. My role was to provide high-fidelity wireframes, provide UI and UX solutions to improve on existing functionality and implement brand consistency throughout the application as well as secured website. The mobile application is a lighter version of the secured site for members.

Design process
We implemented an agile UX design process with the following 6 stages:

Design & development toolkit

Understand
Medihelp identified main problems as outdated information and limited functionality.
Medical schemes rely on a trust relationship with members, and providing irrelevant information was responsible for a bad user experience.

Before
The member application before revamp was outdated and did not carry the new brand. The main aim of the project was to incorporate the secured site and mobile app functionalities to create a seamless experience between both platforms.

After
The main UI and UX focus was usability.

User research and competitor analysis
We did a thorough Google Analytics reading to shift the focus of the existing app to most used pages. Another key focus point was conducting a competitor analysis of the Sign Up process, quick links and brand interaction UX.

Sketch & design
I created the full set of high-fidelity ideations to be discussed with stakeholders before we started development.

Implementation & evaluation
The member app was launched in April 2021, and as this is an ongoing project, we evaluate and improve on an ongoing basis.
